Perfect Day

I have to share about a perfect day. Ever since JT came into my life, I've had quite a few. I don't know if you remember me mentioning this, but last week he was in L.A. on business. He flew all night last night and arrived at 8 a.m. this morning. Instead of sleeping in, I was at the airport at 8:04 to greet him. We took his bags back to his house, rested in each other's arms, and then ran errands.

Miss Angie, his electric blue Jeep, finally sold! Praise the Lord! Her new owner is from Mannford, USA, a man who's self-proclaimed "about as country as cornbread." We liked him immediately! On Monday, the sale will be finalized and a huge load will be lifted off JT's shoulders as he says goodbye to his partner in crime for about 13 years.

We went to dinner at Chili's and had chocolate pot de creme at Rick's Cafe Americain to celebrate the sale. Then we went on a walk on the trail where we had our first date. It's this little trail surrounded by trees and some of Tulsa's finest old houses. JT was really laying it on thick. I felt like a princess all night long. Date nights are the best! We're having another one tomorrow night! We're going to see Waitress, an independent movie starring Keri Russell, and to Barnes & Noble/Starbucks. I've been craving a green tea frap all summer.

Right now, I am sitting in a clean room, freshly showered, listening to Copeland and typing to my heart's content. There are no overwhelming burdens on my mind. All of this productivity has been good for me. I'm determined to keep it up, even if it means becoming slightly OCD again. My main motivation for this is October. It will be my favorite month for multiple reasons this year:

1) Family Vacation to South Padre Island. JT will be in attendance and will meet my Mexicans (my mom's huuuuge family).
2) The Tulsa Run. I've put off training for far too long! I need to up my mileage by five miles in two months. I can do it!
3) OU/Texas game. That's not really a personal goal of mine, but it will be interesting since I'm a die hard Texas fan and JT's a die hard OU fan. He was in their marching band and lived in the stadium. He has me beat. Still, it will be fun and we have a little bet going.

Oh, I have a brand new haircut! From now on, my ponytails will be stylish. My hair hasn't had drastic layers since middle school, really. I have side-swept bangs now. I'm not gonna lie; it's hard getting used to hair in my face, but it will be worth it once they are trained properly. Will post pictures soon! Night!
