How does someone in my situation answer this question?
I just graduated from college, am unemployed, look and apply for at least three random jobs a day, sometimes spend time with my mom, hang out with my boyfriend a lot, watch the Dallas Mavericks with my dad when they are on TV, go to church, go to my brother's baseball games, work out when I have the motivation, and try to figure out what kind of adult I am going to be.
It's a mouthful, but sounds a lot better than, "Well...it's complicated."
<>< style="font-style: italic;">Goodness I am desperate! I'm working on some generic cover letters I can send to people. Too bad they can't be short, sweet, and to the point. I have never been a fan of formalities. If I could write anything, I'd say:
To whom it may concern:
I know I am young and don't have much experience, but I work hard, learn fast, and can write and talk my way out of anything. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, LB
Too short, I know. Okay, I'll add this quote, then, between "anything" and "Thank".
If that doesn't indicate how perfect I am for this job, then perhaps you'd like to know that the sooner I find and keep a job, the sooner I can buy a Nintendo Wii. How's that for "motivated young professional"?At least I make myself laugh.
